A Malaysian businessman is reportedly set to invest in Milan, in a deal being negotiated by super-agent Jorge Mendes.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the investor in question will become a minority shareholder on Li Yonghong’s board and is a Malaysian national residing in Singapore.
Furthermore, he would be leading an Asian consortium interested in investing in Milan, while Mendes is acting as an intermediary between the backer and Milan.
If a deal is agreed, it would go some way towards helping Li fund his final capital increase of €32m and cover the €303m loan owed to Elliott Management.
