Italian papers claim Manchester City have made a €45m offer for Jorginho, but it’s far below Napoli’s €60m asking price.
The midfielder has long been a target for Pep Guardiola and Maurizio Sarri’s departure makes it more likely he’ll move on this summer.
According to La Repubblica and the Corriere del Mezzogiorno, negotiations promoted a formal offer of €45m from Manchester City.
The player would also earn approximately €4m per year in his contract.
However, that is a long way off the €60m asking price and Napoli have no intention of lowering it.
Manchester City are trying to get the deal completed before Sarri can be appointed at Chelsea and tempt Jorginho towards Stamford Bridge instead.
