Juventus have reportedly rejected a bid in excess of €40m from Paris Saint-Germain for defender Mattia Caldara.
According to Calciomercato.com, Juve’s board will block any further approaches for Caldara as they see the 24-year-old ‘central’ to the Bianconeri’s project going forward.
The former Italy Under-21 stopper was transferred to the Old Lady in January 2017 but will only join up with them this summer, having been loaned back to Atalanta for the past 18 months.
The website still expects PSG to sign a defender for next season but reiterates Caldara ‘will be a pivot’ for Juve, who are ‘totally convinced’ by his quality.
