FIGC Commissioner Roberto Fabbricini confirmed talks with Andrea Pirlo and Massimo Ambrosini, while Roberto Mancini will discuss the Italy job after May 14.
“We evaluated a future collaboration with Pirlo and Ambrosini, that is possible for the Under-21s or the Nazionale. They said they are available and that’s good to know we can be helped by two champions,” Fabbricini told Rai Sport.
After Carlo Ancelotti, it now seems likely Zenit St Petersburg boss Mancini will be appointed as the new Italy CT.
“There’s no news on Mancini, his last game will be in Moscow on May 14, after that he will return to Rome and we can talk about it, but there is nothing official.”
